Tori | Headshot Painting

This is actually going to appear in Tori's upcoming updated 2017 Reference Sheet, but I figured, why not upload it separately so people can see the detail I have worked hours on :') this is why I've been inactive. Literally working on this for like a few minutes at a time because of my stupid lack of motivation, but I am starting to force myself because no good comes from doing nothing WHILE depressed. AND, I GOT A NEW GRAPHICS TABLET. So for years I had the Wacom Bamboo Drawing Tablet, and I loved it. But now she's been handed on to my to-be sister-in-law NOW I have a Wacom Cintiq 13HD AND I LOVE IT. My boyfriend got it for me to help my depression and help me draw more for happiness. He's a gem

You might notice a new style developing. That seems to happen to me when I don't draw for months and then get back into it. Not to mention this new tablet has changed my style for soft cell painting, or whatever you want to call it. Either way, I am not complaining and if people wonder why it takes me ages to upload something, this is why because digital paintings take AGES, for me anyway. Also, my chronic pains have stopped me from drawing a lot, unfortunately. I have this horrible acute pain in the back of my shoulder, but at least it's being treated with a Physiotherapist and the odd dose of pain killers. 

SO YEAH. Killing inactivity. Going to try to start drawing more because I feel I have something to work with, with this new style thing I have going on. I do say fun matters though, and that's what matters the most with drawing. Don't forget it. If you draw for any other reason, you won't be happy, so what's the point? If someone says there's something wrong with your anatomy, obviously take it into consideration, but not too seriously. Drawing is about expression of the inner soul and to be able to do so freely without feeling like crap about it. If you think you can't get better at art, YOU CAN <3
